Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on post or you can live off post. If you live off post, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.

Fort Huachuca is home to the Army Military Auxiliary Radio System and the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center. Fort Huachuca is located in southeast Arizona and was once an alternate landing site for the space shuttle. A radar-equipped aerostat that is maintained by the Drug Enforcement Administration is also located on Fort Huachuca and detects low-flying aircraft trying to penetrate the United States. The School Liaison Office works with the Child and Youth Services Division on Fort Huachuca and is located in Building #52111. The Fort Huachuca Accommodation School district is located on the Fort Huachuca Military Reservation and serves children from kindergarten to age 8. There are two elementary schools in the district and one middle school. Many private schools are also available. The Child Development Services at Fort Huachuca offer hourly day care, school-age child services and are based on the family’s total income. Fort Huachuca offers some of the most extensive housing opportunities in the United States Army. There are over 1,900 military housing units available on post as well as over 1,700 enlisted quarters. If military personnel are interested in off-post housing, soldiers may apply t the housing office to learn more about applicable BAH rates. The Housing Referral Office maintains a list of available homes for sale or rent as well as apartment complexes in the surrounding communities. Temporary lodging at Fort Huachuca is provided on base with over 280 units available for those on a waiting list for more permanent housing. Nearby hotels and motels also offer temporary lodging.
